Here’s how to use AI to figure out some of the jobs that you’re qualified for, but you don’t know that you’re qualified for them because all you’re doing is thinking about your existing job title. I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. People hire me for no-BS job search coaching and career advice globally because I make the process of finding work and succeeding at it much easier.
One thing you can do is use AI to help you figure this out. Upload a copy of your resume to it. You don’t need to give it your name, contact information, anything along those lines. As a matter of fact, don’t.
And then from there, give it a prompt along the lines of: “Tell me about 20 job titles that you think I’m qualified for and what makes you think I am qualified for. Do not make anything up. Please give me any sources that you’ve used that allow you to make these recommendations”.
What this is going to do is a couple of things. Number one, it’s going to give you the job titles, but number two, it’s going to tell you why you’re qualified. It’s going to tell AI not to make stuff up, and it’s going to give you the sources so that in this way you can go back and search for them and dig in deeper.
