Advantages of Saving Paytm History as Excel Sheet

Excel is the go-to file format for anything related to finance. Whether it’s keeping simple records or filing your annual taxes from a professional chartered accountant, everyone prefers an Excel sheet over a PDF or any other file. Here are the top five reasons why you should start saving your Paytm history as an Excel sheet:

  • Streamlined record keeping: Transactions are saved in a sophisticated and easy-to-understand tabular format in an Excel sheet. PDF can be often confusing due to alignment and scaling issues.
  • Easier operations for tracking: Excel sheets provide direct options to find out sum, average, and median. This makes it easy to analyse your expenses and search for a specific transaction. You can also convert this data into a chart for better understanding.
  • Universal compatibility: Excel sheets are used globally and are supported on all types of computers, tablets, and even smartphones.
  • Seamless tax filing: The Indian Income Tax Portal accepts Excel sheet format to submit your annual statement. You can directly upload your sheet instead of having to update major transactions manually while filing your annual tax returns.
  • Easier to merge records: You can easily merge two Excel sheets and keep all of your records in the same file. This helps to track multiple bank accounts at a single place, instead of juggling between two or more files.
