How do recruiters find you to fill their positions? Well, let’s put it aside, you applied for the job. That’s not really all that great. But they’re also talking to a network of people that they’ve built relationships with who may refer you. They’re also looking at industry experts. They’re also doing technology like LinkedIn, of course, and Google. They’re trying to find someone who will recommend you for the role.
And the easiest way to become recommended is to be visible. The more people know about you, the more likely it is they’ll recommend you. You’ll be top of mind as an expert, and that will make you attractive to them. After all, if you’re invisible, you’re basically applying for jobs. And that basically means you’re a lucky hire.
