On Thursday, July 18, 2025, Nando’s PERi-PERi Canada invites Canadians to honor Nelson Mandela Day by participating in a nationwide food drive that transforms compassion into meaningful action. In keeping with the global tradition of “dedicating 67 minutes of service—symbolic of the 67 years Nelson Mandela spent advancing justice and equality—the initiative encourages small, impactful gestures that strengthen communities.”
From “11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (local time), guests are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item to any participating Nando’s location in Alberta, British Columbia, or Ontario; in return, they will receive a complimentary ¼ Chicken and PERi-PERi Fries as a token of gratitude.”
By combining its South African roots with a commitment to local engagement, Nando’s uses this annual initiative to foster connection, encourage giving, and uplift neighborhoods. Ultimately, it reflects the brand’s broader mission: to create spaces where food, community, and social impact come together in meaningful ways.
