The first seasonal Disneyland Resort offering is a Halloween-themed celebration running until October 31, which offers a family-oriented approach to the holiday with an emphasis on whimsical rather than frightening experiences. This includes extensive park-wide decorations, such as a large Mickey Mouse-shaped pumpkin, and specific attraction modifications like the Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired Haunted Mansion Holiday and three transformed rides at Disney California Adventure Park. Unique entertainment experiences include a fireworks show on select evenings, a guided tour focused on Disney villains, and a pumpkin-themed scavenger hunt activity. Additionally, Disneyland Resort’s character dining experiences will feature special menus and opportunities to interact with Mickey Mouse and his companions, who will be adorned in new, glow-in-the-dark Halloween costumes that incorporate elements from the ongoing 70th-anniversary celebration. Seasonal food items and exclusive merchandise collections will also be available.
Concurrently, from August 22 to November 2, Disneyland Resort will host Plaza de la Familia, an event dedicated to honoring the traditions of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Located in Disney California Adventure Park, this celebration is inspired by the Disney-Pixar film ‘Coco’ and will feature a live musical street performance, authentic Mexican cuisine, themed craft activities, and vibrant décor.
