Design firm p(erson)al has just unveiled the d-gc 1 chair, which is made in a way that reimagines the gooseneck element as a more responsive and sculptural design project. This is the debut launch for the ‘de-goose’ series as the chair is meant to adapt to the sitter’s posture and adds some functional subtlety.
Woojin Park, founder of the firm introduced the look and he is known for reimagining industrial materials through a personal angle. The d-gc 1 chair has a dynamic structure which allows the furniture piece to adapt to the posture of whoever sits in it. This includes the backrest and armrest features simultaneously. As one leans in, it would subtly alter the tension and feedback to form an interactive experience.
