This interview mistake can doom your interview.
One of the mistakes job hunters make on interviews is that they give answers that sound canned. I want to be clear, I want you to prepare, I want you to be rehearsed, but I don’t want it to come across as though you’re prepared and rehearsed. I want it to come across as natural. That’s the beauty behind preparation: you get to the point where everything you say sounds natural. And that authentic quality to sounding natural is completely rehearsed—that’s the funny thing about it. But you don’t want to sound as though you’re canned because that’s a losing way to present.
