EXCLUSIVE: Signature Entertainment has acquired UK and Irish rights to horror-thriller Bone Lake from Mister Smith Entertainment.
The film will receive its UK premiere at FrightFest in London this August. Bleecker Street will release domestically later this year.
The feature is directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Fixation) from a script by Joshua Friedlander. It stars Maddie Hasson (Malignant), Alex Roe (The 5th Wave), Marco Pigossi (High Tide) and Andra Nechita (The Sex Lives of College Girls).
Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, and Jacob Yakob produce for LD Entertainment, along with Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers include Mehrdod Heydari and Joseph Yakob for LD Entertainment, as well as Alex Roe.
Bone Lake follows a couple’s romantic secluded lakeside vacation that goes awry when they are forced to share a mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. Their dream getaway descends into sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.
The deal was negotiated between Signature Entertainment’s Chief Commercial Officer Elizabeth Williams and Mister Smith Entertainment CEO David Garrett.
