Ex-Cowboys star grins for sickening mugshot following arrest for allegedly assaulting pregnant woman

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill flashed a sickening grin in his mugshot after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.

According to arrest records obtained by the Daily Mail, Hill was arrested on March 26 and was charged with third-degree felony assault of a pregnant person and misdemeanor interfering with an emergency request for assistance.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said that Hill was arrested in connection with a pair of bond forfeiture warrants that stem from a 2025 criminal investigation, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The identity of the pregnant woman – and what her relationship to Hill may be – remains unclear.

Hill was booked into the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie, Texas at 2:30pm. His bond has been set at $3,500.

After playing three seasons of college football at the University of Central Florida, Hill was selected 58th overall in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Despite being picked so high, Hill never panned out at the level expected of a second-round NFL draft choice.

The Florida native only appeared in 25 games across four seasons in Dallas and recorded 33 combined tackles and half a sack before the Cowboys cut him in the middle of 2022.

He would then go on to appear in six games with the Arizona Cardinals for the rest of 2022. After a brief stint on the Cleveland Browns practice squad, he was signed by the New England Patriots – where he only logged three games in two seasons.

After New England released him in 2024, the Indianapolis Colts signed him to their practice squad before they too cut him. He hasn’t signed with a team since.

Across 34 total NFL games and five starts, he managed just 39 tackles and one-and-a-half sacks.
