Angel Reese’s Brother Is A Baller Too!
Julian Reese, the younger brother of Angel Reese, has officially signed a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, the 6-foot-9 former University of Maryland standout is making his own plays. The news was confirmed by ADS Sports Management, the Minneapolis-based agency that represents several Division I athletes.
“Big congrats to Julian Reese, who will head to LA with the Lakers!” the agency wrote in a social media post on Instagram.
She Laid The Blueprint Down For Lil’ Bro
Angel has stepped into full-on big sis and boss mode as Julian gets his shot at the league. You already know she’s giving him that real talk—mixing sisterly love with seasoned pro advice. From staying focused under pressure to putting in the work, Angel’s letting him know how to move on the court.
“You’ve got to maximize it because you don’t get these opportunities twice. I told him to show up first and make sure you’re at the front of the line for drills,” she revealed to reporters. “He doesn’t have the opportunity to slack off. He has to maximize it and really push through and really show his all, because it’s now or never. I think he has a really great opportunity, especially with the Lakers and what they need in the front court.” Angel concluded with, “I text him everyday… I’m really happy for him and proud of him.”
Angel Runs The Game, Julian’s Ready To Follow
Lakers newbie Julian Reese has some big shoes to fill—and no shade, but his sister is THAT girl. Angel just scored her third straight BET Sportswoman of the Year award, a feat only Serena Williams has ever achieved. Additionally, she shattered WNBA records for the fastest player to reach 30 double-doubles, and became the league’s top rebounder with 13 rebounds per game. She’s not just winning games—she’s breaking molds, leading her Chicago Sky team, dominating the inaugural 3×3 Unrivaled league as Defensive Player of the Year, and even launching major business moves and philanthropic efforts off the court.
So, it’s clear Angel isn’t just playing—she’s building a movement. With Vogue covers, a growing foundation, a signature podcast, and support from brands like Reebok, Cash App, and McDonald’s, she’s redefined what a modern athlete looks like. The bar is set!
