A. Sutherland – AncientPages.com – The tale of Elli, the Norse goddess of Old Age, is a captivating Norse myth that inspires us with numerous significant lessons.
Within the framework of Norse beliefs, it is evident that the concept of old age was once a formidable force feared by both humans and gods.
This tale continues to have great power because it still inspires us to view aging not as a foe, but as an ally on our life’s journey.

One day, Thor visited Utgard-Loki (also known as ‘Skrymir’), the strongest and the most cunning of the giants, in his mighty Utgardr castle.
