The procedure is equally simple. In this guide, let’s look at three easy ways using which you can download liked and saved videos from YouTube.

How to Download Liked Videos From YouTube

YouTube creates a dedicated playlist of all the videos that you like or keep saved on the platform. Unfortunately, the platform changed its policy, where the playlist of your liked videos will remain private, and you cannot make it public even if you want. This makes it a little harder to download your liked videos from YouTube at once.

Method 1: Using YT-DLP

YT-DLP is a free and open-source tool that allows you to download videos and playlists from YouTube. We have demonstrated this guide on a Windows computer, but the tool also works on Linux and macOS.

1. Open Command Prompt on your computer and type winget search yt-dlp

2. Type Y and press Enter on your keyboard. This will initiate the download of YT-DLP and FFmpeg on your computer.

3. Once the installation is complete, open YouTube and copy the playlist link that we created manually from your liked videos.

4. Go back to the command prompt, type yt-dlp followed by a space and paste the playlist link. Hit Enter on your keyboard.

5. YT-DLP will automatically select the best video resolution and download all the videos from that playlist on your computer.

The default download location of YT-DLP is the directory where you open the command prompt. If you wish to save the videos to a specific location, create a new folder and open Command Prompt or Powershell Window at that location by using Shift + Right Click.

Method 2: Using YT-DLP GUI Wrapper

While YT-DLP is the most powerful tool for downloading videos from YouTube, its command-line nature is not beginner-friendly. We can also use the GUI Wrapper of YT-DLP that offers a proper user interface like a regular app. However, this app is not updated regularly, so you may face some errors using it.

1. Download the YT-DLP GUI Wrapper from Github.

2. Extract the .zip file on your computer and open the yt-dlp-gui.exe file.

3. Paste the link of our created playlist in the Link section. Now click on the Plus (+) icon in the controls section.

4. Click on the Download icon.

This will download all of your liked videos on YouTube that we added to the playlist. This tool automatically selects the best available resolution for each video.

Method 3: Using 4K Video Downloader

If you have a long list of liked videos, then adding them manually to a new playlist is not a feasible solution. In such cases, we can use a tool like 4K Video Downloader that provides a direct option to sign in to your YouTube account and automatically download all of your liked, saved, and private videos. However, this feature requires a paid subscription of $15.

1. Download 4K Video Downloader from its official website. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

2. Install the software on your computer. Open it and sign in to your YouTube account.

3. Now click on the profile icon in the top right corner of your screen, and select Download Liked Videos.

4. The app will prompt you to purchase a subscription. Once you complete the payment, it will automatically save all of your liked videos from YouTube on your computer.
