U.S. stocks have pared much of their earlier drop following the latest tariff headlines.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said during a CNBC interview Thursday morning that President Donald Trump would likely delay tariffs on all goods covered by the USMCA trade agreement, which was negotiated between the U.S., Canada and Mexico during his first term.
“The market is on edge and is getting whipped around by each headline/comment from the administration,” said George Cipolloni, a portfolio manager at Penn Mutual Asset Management, in response to an emailed question from MarketWatch.
