You have to do something more than to Google yourself when you job hunt.
Tips for Successful Job Search Networking
Don’t just simply Google yourself — and remember to use incognito mode to do so– but it’s a time in life when you have to start looking at the large language model. See what chatGPT or Gemini or Claude say about you. Perplexity.ai. See what these models will say about you. Now if you’re like me who has a name that in my case there’s a comedian with the same name, Jeff Altman, figure out ways to separate yourself from other people who might have your name. Maybe it’s your employer. Maybe it’s some skill that you have. Whatever it is, see what is being said about you there then tell the model the mistakes it’s making so it can correct them.
