But according to Billboard, who were informed by sources that she has to let loose an amount close to $360 million to buy her career productions back. In a heartfelt note on her website, Swift recently wrote in a letter addressing the world that all she ever wanted was the privilege of one day “purchasing my music outright with no strings attached, no partnership, and with full autonomy.”

Though Swift did not reveal the figure herself, she did thank Shamrock Capital dearly, who had been in possession of these recordings since 2020 and struck a fair deal with the singer. She praised them highly for handling the interaction fairly and respectfully. Swift concluded that to the firm, the nature of this deal was purely business, but once they saw what it all meant to her, calling it “my memories and my sweat and my handwriting and my decades of dreams,” they were much more considerate about it. And it is not just Swift; people around her are also very happy about it, including the love of her life.
