Dedicated PC Control Knobs : Ploopy Knob

The Ploopy Knob has been announced by the brand as a control dial for use with a PC as an open-source way to intuitively navigate the interface, make system adjustments and more. The simple peripheral comes in the form of a circular knob that can be used for adjusting volume, scrolling through documents, scrubbing through media and more. The knob has a 3D-printed construction with a high-precision sensor inside that will work effectively right out of the box.

The Ploopy Knob is powered by a Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller and uses a position sensor with a 12-bit resolution, while also offering a polling rate of more than 1kHz for tracking rotational movements. This means users can enjoy pixel-by-pixel scrolling when being used on Windows and Linux systems.
