Cost-Reducing Ductless Heat Pumps : Ductless Heat Pump

The Hitachi brand introduced a new line of ductless heat pumps through the Bosch Home Comfort Group.

The airHome series consists of ductless mini-split heat pumps designed for heating and cooling individual rooms or multiple zones within a home. A key technical feature of the units is their operational capability in very low outdoor temperatures, alongside integrated self-cleaning and air purification functions.

The ductless design is a major advantage for a wide range of housing situations, including older homes lacking ductwork, room additions where extending ducts is impractical, or for homeowners seeking to create independent temperature zones for enhanced comfort and further energy savings. The airHome systems are managed through a mobile application that allows for remote control, scheduling, and energy usage monitoring. The product is presented as an energy-efficient alternative to traditional HVAC systems, as it utilizes a refrigerant with a lower environmental impact and qualifies for various energy rebate programs.
