Computer Vision Car Tools : audi reader

Whether they’re brewing coffee or driving a car, people rarely want to read manuals, and with just one in four Audi drivers consulting their vehicle’s manual, Aldi Reader addresses that the majority would much rather grab their mobile devices and quickly get answers another way. Developed in collaboration with Ogilvy Barcelona and vision tech startup Roboflow, Audi Reader is a new in-app myAudi&Me feature that taps into the power of computer vision so that drivers can point their device at a dashboard control, a warning light, cabin elements, and more to get more information.

The system was trained on more than 10,000 images captured from 27 current Audi models, making Audi Reader a valuable addition for gaining insight, requesting appointments, or getting roadside assistance.
