Collaborative Game Console Controllers : 8bitdo rare xbox

8BitDo has introduced the Ultimate 3-mode Controller — Rare 40th Anniversary Edition as its first wireless Xbox gamepad, officially licensed by Xbox and Rare. Priced at $89.99, the controller commemorates Rare’s four decades of game development and supports three connectivity modes: Microsoft’s 2.4 GHz wireless protocol for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Bluetooth for mobile devices, and USB-C wired connections for PC and consoles. The bundle includes a matching charging dock with integrated storage for the 2.4 GHz USB receiver, a USB-C cable, and two silicone stick caps bearing motifs from Rare’s classic titles.

The controller’s design features a two-tone royal blue shell accented by yellow-gold joystick rings, face buttons, triggers, and bumpers, reflecting Rare’s signature palette. It incorporates premium hardware such as a gold-plated zinc alloy D-pad, drift-free Hall effect sticks, Xbox-style impulse triggers, and two programmable back buttons. A built-in 1000 mAh rechargeable battery delivers up to 20 hours of playtime per charge, and users can adjust profiles, button mapping, and sensitivity via the 8BitDo Ultimate Software X. Compatibility spans Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms, making it a versatile option for both console and mobile gaming.
