Emerald Ecovations has introduced a new line of over 50 compostable foodservice items comprising two distinct collections: a molded-fiber series and a clear PLA series. The molded-fiber products, manufactured in the USA from rapidly renewable miscanthus, include clamshells, plates, burrito bowls and lunch trays, all produced without added PFAS chemicals. The clear PLA “Plant to Plastic®” range features cold cups, salad bowls, deli containers and clamshells, offering the transparency and strength of conventional plastics while remaining certified for commercial composting.
Both collections are engineered to support foodservice operators’ sustainability goals by reducing reliance on trees and petroleum-based plastics and diverting organic waste from landfills. According to the manufacturer, these items contribute measurable savings in trees, water usage and avoided plastic, and are available immediately through an established distributor network or by direct inquiry via the company’s website. A complementary webinar will outline product specifications, benefits and end-of-life considerations to facilitate adoption and impact reporting for downstream users.
