Clean the Sky – Sustainable Bulk Container Alternatives

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

Amcor has launched ‘Liquiflex® AmPrima®,’ a new line of recyclable bulk pouches for the European foodservice market. These mono-material polyethylene (PE) pouches offer a sustainable alternative to traditional bulk containers such as metal cans or rigid plastic pails. Designed for products like sauces, dressings, and frozen foods, the pouches are space-efficient and compatible with commercial dispensers. They can reduce carbon footprint by up to 79%, use 75% less non-renewable energy, and require 84% less water over their lifecycle compared to legacy bulk packaging.

With upcoming EU packaging rules tightening, these lightweight, recycle-ready pouches position businesses to cut costs on Extended Producer Responsibility fees and meet plastic reduction goals.

Amcor’s solution supports operational efficiency and environmental compliance. Businesses using these pouches can reduce waste, logistics costs, and emissions — while signaling commitment to circular packaging innovation.
