Clean the Sky – Solar Project Expansions

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

Geronimo Power has started operating two new solar energy projects in Ohio—one in Ross County and another in Fayette County. These projects, which also include parts of Highland County, will “produce a total of 167.5 megawatts (MW) of clean electricity; over the next 20 years, they are expected to bring about $73 million in direct economic benefits to the region.”

A portion of that impact—around $29.5 million—will come from new tax revenue. This money will support local governments, emergency services, schools, and contribute to Ohio’s Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) Program. These new projects join Geronimo’s already announced Yellowbud Solar project, strengthening the company’s presence in the state.

Geronimo has also begun construction on two additional sites: Dodson Creek and Sycamore Creek. Once all five projects are complete, they will generate over 675 MW of clean energy in Ohio, helping the state move toward a more sustainable future.
