Island Fin Poké Co. launches new eco-friendly initiatives to support environmental sustainability while continuing to serve fresh, Hawaiian-inspired poké bowls. The company promotes green practices year-round, but Earth Day offers a special opportunity to highlight its commitment and encourage others to get involved.
For Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, Island Fin partnered with The Ocean Cleanup, a nonprofit that removes plastic waste from the ocean using advanced technology. On that day, “Island Fin donated $1 for every Dole Soft Serve® sold, helping fund ocean clean-up efforts and inspiring guests to contribute to a cleaner planet.”
In addition to Earth Day efforts, Island Fin focuses on sustainable sourcing. It recently introduced Coho Salmon, a fast-growing fish that doesn’t require chemical treatments and is shipped by boat instead of by air—reducing its carbon footprint. These steps reflect Island Fin’s mission to combine great food with care for the environment.
