China’s heavy equipment giant SANY Group has delivered a skid-mounted hydrogen production and refueling station to a client in Australia, marking the company’s first green hydrogen project in the country. Shipped in late May and officially unveiled on May 29, the station can produce hydrogen on-site via electrolysis (200 Nm³/h capacity) and dispense fuel for both 35 MPa (commercial truck) and 70 MPa (passenger car) hydrogen tanks. The integrated unit includes advanced compression and storage systems, enabling simultaneous rapid refueling of heavy vehicles and cars.
SANY customized the design to meet Australian standards, obtaining certifications from Bureau Veritas and TÜV SÜD for electrical safety and pressure vessels. This project builds on SANY’s experience running one of China’s largest hydrogen refueling stations, now bringing that expertise overseas. The successful deployment demonstrates SANY’s growing role in global green energy infrastructure and the export of its hydrogen technologies.
