Clean the Sky – Energy Transition Partnerships

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

Sweden and Thailand’s Electricity Generating Authority (EGAT) have established a partnership under the “Pioneer the Possible Thailand 2025” initiative aimed at accelerating the green energy transition through collaborative technical innovation and knowledge exchange. The initiative was formally launched on 20 May 2025 at the EGAT 50th Anniversary Building in Nonthaburi, with representatives from EGAT, the Embassy of Sweden in Thailand, and the Swedish Trade & Invest Council participating. The partnership seeks to leverage Swedish expertise in alternative energy solutions—including hydrogen, solar power, and smart grid technologies—to support advancements in sustainable energy practices as part of a broader clean energy strategy.

Within the framework of this collaboration, efforts are being directed towards deepening cooperation in key areas such as biomass utilization, hydrogen energy, and the digitalization of power systems. The agreement builds on existing Memoranda of Understanding between EGAT and Business Sweden, with an emphasis on exchanging technical insights that can enhance efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Expert discussions at the launch event addressed how strategic innovations in renewable energy integration can contribute to a modernized and environmentally responsible energy infrastructure, thereby underpinning a more sustainable energy future in the region.
