Clean the Sky – Eco Tourism Partnerships

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

In a meaningful step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in sustainable tourism, the Department of Tourism (DOT) of Thailand recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO).

The Bhutanese delegation explored Thailand’s best practices in sustainable tourism—from national policy frameworks to community-led initiatives—gaining firsthand insight into how the country integrates environmental responsibility with cultural preservation and economic inclusion. This knowledge-sharing mission is a key development under the ongoing “Two Countries, One Destination” initiative, a collaborative framework aimed at fostering joint product development, shared learning, and the promotion of meaningful, eco-conscious travel experiences.

More than a symbolic exchange, the visit reinforces a shared commitment by both Thailand and Bhutan to reshape tourism into a force for good and usher in a new chapter in regional tourism cooperation.
