Eco-Soap Bank was born from the mind of Samir Lakhani, an entrepreneur who aims to mitigate a lack of soap circulating African and Asian communities. Founded in 2014, Eco-Soap Bank is addressing global hygiene challenges and environmental waste through an innovative recycling model. The nonprofit uses the discarded soap from hotels and factories, sanitizes and repurposes it, and distributes it to underserved communities worldwide.
To date, Eco-Soap Bank has diverted over 14 million pounds of soap from landfills, transforming waste into critical hygiene resources. The organization also supports local service partners, creating a sustainable supply chain that benefits both people and the planet.
