TotalEnergies, Masdar and EPointZero have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) to expand access to clean energy across emerging markets in Africa and Asia. The FFA, formalized on February 16, 2025 during the third plenary meeting of the UAE–France High-Level Business Council in Paris, builds on strengthened bilateral ties following the UAE President’s visit to France. Under this agreement, the three organizations will combine their expertise, technical capabilities and investment capacity to accelerate renewable energy deployment, enhance energy security and support long-term energy system transformation in target regions.
Under the terms of the FFA, Masdar and TotalEnergies will collaborate to deliver reliable and sustainable electricity solutions for local communities in Africa, while jointly identifying new clean energy opportunities in Southeast Asia. Concurrently, TotalEnergies and EPointZero will explore joint ventures to support India’s decarbonization efforts through large-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects. The partnership agreement was signed by Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi (CEO of Masdar), Stéphane Michel (President, Gas Renewable and Power, TotalEnergies) and Peter Abraam (Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, IHC) in the presence of key governmental and industry stakeholders, underscoring the strategic importance of this trilateral collaboration.
