Will Harry Redknapp be dancing to The Jukebox Man’s tune?
Having built up his Cheltenham pedigree with a win for his horse Shakem Up’Arry in the TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase two years ago, the veteran manager is back for the biggest one of all today with his entrance of The Jukebox Man in the Gold Cup.
The Ben Pauling-trained mount triumphed on Boxing Day in the King George VI Chase at Kempton last year, gilt-edging his Gold Cup chances and setting him up as one of the favourites heading into raceday.
In an open field, he’s certainly worth keeping an eye for football fans.
But those specifically Hammers-minded might also take a look at the County Hurdle for a ride which speaks to them: Bowensonfire, trained by Gordon Elliott, and nicely priced at 11/1.
