Chanel’s new high jewelry collection, titled ‘Reach for the Stars,’ premiered in Kyoto and showcases a celestial vision of elegance inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s Hollywood era and creative daring. Designed by the late Patrice Leguéreau, the house’s longtime jewelry studio director, the 110-piece collection embodies themes of freedom, ambition, and transformation — symbolized by comets, lions, and for the first time in Chanel high jewelry, wings.
The standout ‘Wings of Chanel’ necklace features a 19.55-carat Padparadscha sapphire and intricate, articulated diamond feathers designed to contour the body. Additional highlights include Kyoto lacquerwork brooches and eight-figure masterpieces that blend innovation with heritage. The unveiling, set against the serene backdrop of the Kyoto National Museum, was a tribute to Leguéreau’s artistic legacy and Chanel’s expanding place in the world of high jewelry artistry.
