More Details From The Medical Examiner’s Report
Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation. The second medical condition is an irregular heart rhythm. The report from the District Six Medical Examiner confirmed both.
As previously reported, medical professionals pronounced Hogan dead at a hospital less than 90 minutes after medics arrived at his home in Clearwater. They were responding to a call about a cardiac arrest on the morning of July 24, police said. The medical examiner’s report said the cause of death was “natural.”
“He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them,” Hogan’s wife Sky Daily posted on Instagram about a week prior.
Sky said she believed they had more time in the caption of a carousel post containing memories together. She also wrote, “This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”
Wife Reacts To Governor DeSantis Honoring The Hulkster
To honor the “Hulkster,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said, flags will be flown at half-staff at all official buildings on Friday (August 1), which he declared “Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.”
“He was a true Floridian through and through,” the Republican governor wrote in a memo Thursday (July 31).
Sky Daily responded to the honor, saying her husband would’ve loved it. Despite not being ready to leave their home today, she asked fans to share photos of any flags flying at half-mast. “Your HH tributes, condolences, shared memories, and shared tears have brought me so much comfort,” she added.
Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Brooke Reacts To His Death
Brooke Bollea Oleksy, known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, recently memorialized her father in a series of social media posts.
“I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens,” she wrote in one of her Instagram posts.
In a lengthy statement on Instagram on July 29, Brooke Hogan explained that she never had a “big fight” with her father. Instead, they had disagreements about his healthcare after years of her involvement in decision-making there. Though there was some distance, Brooke emphasized that she loved her dad.
“All I ever truly wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection. And for a few special years, I had that–with memories that will last a lifetime,” she wrote.
In a follow-up tribute, she called their bond “eternal,” saying it brings comfort and hope even in her father’s absence. So far, the family has not announced funeral plans.
