Supernatural fans are mourning a beloved cast member.

Carrie Anne Fleming—known for her work as Karen Singer on the series—died “peacefully with her loved ones by her side” on February 26 following a diagnosis with breast cancer, her rep confirmed to People. She was 51.

“It was a great privilege to have known Carrie,” the spokesperson for the actress added in the March 22 statement. “She was a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind. She will be greatly missed.”

After studying drama at the Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company in Victoria, British Columbia, per Variety, Carrie eventually secured small roles in Happy Gilmore and the 1994 series Viper. She found her niche in the horror genre when cast in the 2005 series Masters of Horror, where she played the titular character in the episode “Jennifer.”

Carrie also appeared in The Tooth Fairy and Bloodsuckers before being cast in Supernatural as the wife to Bobby Singer, played by Jim Beaver.

Following Carrie’s death, Jim penned a moving tribute to his late friend, detailing how they immediately connected and developed a deep bond on the set of the fantasy series.
