Brand New Day’ First Trailer Shows Tom Holland & Zendaya

Here’s your first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which launches in cinemas from July 31.

Destin Daniel Cretton directs the anticipated fourth installment in the MCU‘s Spider-Man franchise, which completed filming late last year.

The synopsis reads: “Peter Parker tries to focus on college and leave Spider-Man behind. But when a new threat endangers his friends, he must break his promise and suit up again, teaming with an unexpected ally to protect those he loves.”

As the trailer reveals, “Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”

Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ, with Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas also joining the cast in undisclosed roles. John Bernthal is Punisher and Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner.

Helmed by Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), producers include Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige returning.

Filming began in Scotland last August but production briefly halted after Holland was treated for a mild concussion, reportedly during a stunt gone wrong. The actor was taken to the hospital and examined, but not admitted.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, from 2021, made $1.9BN at the global box office and $814M domestic.
