Stupid Interview Mistakes: Overthinking Your Resume
At some point during this job search or maybe one in the future, you will probably get turned down for a job that you want. It’ll be a huge disappointment; you may even get shocked by the experience, but it’s important to bounce back. Getting caught up in the funk and the feeling of feeling bad about being turned down doesn’t help you land your next job.
Learn your lessons from it. What did I do wrong? Don’t ask them because they’re probably not going to tell you the truth or get back to you for that matter, but you can figure out for yourself some of the mistakes that you made so that you don’t duplicate them on the next group of interviews. The skills needed to find a job are different from those needed to do a job. You’re learning. Maybe you need a coach like me, but you’re still learning.
