Texas rapper BigXThaPlug was reportedly arrested early on Thursday, August 21, for marijuana and weapon possession.

Details On BigXThaPlug’s Arrest In Texas

The Shade Room snagged BigXThaPlug’s mugshot after cops booked him into Dallas County Jail on marijuana and firearm charges. The ‘Mmhmm’ artist previously faced weed charges once before when police arrested him in Arlington, Texas, back in February.

Billboard reported that this latest arrest hit right after what should’ve been a big night for BigX. He dropped his country-trap album, ‘I Hope You’re Happy’, on Friday, August 22. But Fox4 added that around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, police pulled over the 27-year-old, whose real name is Xavier Landum, for allegedly riding without a front license plate. During the stop, they found two guns and some marijuana in his truck.

Back in February, police pulled BigXThaPlug over and reportedly found marijuana and a firearm during a traffic stop search. Authorities then hit the Texas emcee with charges for less than two ounces of marijuana possession and locked him up at Arlington County Jail. An officer later told TMZ they smelled marijuana as soon as they walked up to the car and told BigX and his passenger, Cleodist Landum, to step out. While checking out the vehicle, cops reportedly spotted cigarettes, a green leafy substance, and a handgun that was tucked into the passenger-side door.
