Barack and Michelle Obama had a date night at the 2026 NBA All-Star Game — and they were joined by their younger daughter, Sasha Obama.

The former first couple was photographed sitting courtside at the basketball event at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 15. Michelle, 62, shared a social media post to commemorate the occasion.

"My favorite teammates on and off the court. 🏀," she captioned the Instagram post, which showed herself and the former president, 64, along with their younger daughter, 24, smiling at the camera as they sat down at the game.

The former first lady could be seen wearing a simple black jacket with her hair pulled up and bangs framing her face as she placed her hand on her husband's knee, while the former president wore a casual blue jacket, a black sweater and gray pants.

Other photos taken at the event showed Sasha sitting in the row behind her parents, who sat next to basketball legend Julius Erving. All three family members smiled and cheered during Sunday's game, which featured two American teams (the Stars and the Stripes) and a World team.

Barack has previously been candid about his love for basketball and would often share his predictions for NBA games or fill out a bracket for the NCAA college basketball tournament during his time in office.

One viral moment from Sunday's game — which was also attended by celebrities including Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Queen Latifah and more — came when the former president caught a loose ball heading straight for himself and Michelle.

Barack could be seen smiling after the catch before handing the ball back to the Phoenix Suns' (and Stars player) Devin Booker and sharing a quick word with the player.

In one interview with NBC during the game, the former president told analyst Reggie Miller that he was happy to see the NBA players "[bringing] it for the weekend-long tournament.

“There’s a lot of concern about the All-Star Game and not seeing effort,” Obama said, per USA Today. “Today we are seeing [that effort]. Anytime you get Americans vs. International (teams), they want to bring it.”

Sasha, as well as her sister, Malia Obama, 27, were recently seen together when their family of four posed for a photo on Thanksgiving last year.

Barack shared a joint Instagram post with his wife on Nov. 27, 2025, in which he stood next to Michelle as their two daughters posed beside them.
