Organized by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult in collaboration with Flotation Energy and Simply Blue Group, the competition sought innovative solutions for detecting defects in dynamic cables used in floating wind farms.

Viper Innovations’ winning proposal leverages the company’s expertise in electrical monitoring and asset integrity. It utilizes cutting-edge techniques such as Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry and Viper Innovations’ own Insulation Monitoring technology, which was originally developed for subsea oil and gas applications.

Viper Innovations’ approach addresses a critical gap in the sector by providing real-time mechanical and insulation condition assessments, which are essential for maintaining long-term operational efficiency and reducing risks in harsh marine environments.
