Astrophotographer captures spectacular photo of Antennae Galaxies dueling in deep space


Two galaxies are pictured colliding in a dark sky dotted with stars. The orange galactic cores are visible in the center of the image and long antennae-like spiral arms can be seen stretching into space on either side.

Astrophotographer Greg Meyer took aim at the constellation Corvus to capture a majestic view of the Antennae Galaxies, whose once spiral forms have been rendered chaotic as they merge into a single elliptical monster of a galaxy.
