The Scotch whisky producer Glenfiddich has announced the creation of a special 16-year-old single malt, released in a limited quantity to commemorate the company’s new alliance with the Aston Martin Formula One racing team.

The ultra-special 16-year-old single malt whisky expression is a blend of spirits matured in three different types of casks — American oak that previously held wine, new American oak barrels, and bourbon casks used for a second time. The flavor profile arrests whisky connoisseurs with the rich sweetness of maple syrup and caramelized ginger notes. The taste experience develops to fresh fruit and cream, and concludes with a persistent sweet finish.

The special 16-year-old single malt is presented as an embodiment of the shared values between Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One racing team, namely their dedication to precision, heritage, and high performance.
