Inside Asian & Gucci’s Past History
Speculation about Gucci Mane’s business moves popped off after news hit that Pooh Shiesty, his dad Lontrell Williams Sr., and seven others were involved in a January robbery and kidnapping of Gucci. Gucci had reportedly flown to Dallas to “discuss a recording contract” with Pooh, and after that meeting, Pooh and his crew allegedly pulled a coordinated arm takeover and forced Gucci to sign a music release form.
In the middle of the chaos, Asian reposted a message from a fan that read, “Seem like the only person that survived Gucci Mane label is Asian Doll.” From there, online chatter intensified as fans remembered when Asian used to be signed to Gucci’s 1017 label. He introduced her as the first woman signed back in June 2018. However, things reportedly shifted in 2020 when she announced she was leaving the label.
