Apple is off to the races again. After securing the US broadcast rights to F1 racing in October (succeeding ESPN’s coverage), the tech giant is finally revving its engines to stream the 2026 racing season with a brand-new dedicated channel on Apple TV.
As of this week, US users can see a designated Formula 1 option in their Apple TV apps, whether they’re on their mobile devices or scrolling in their living room. Included with the base Apple TV subscription ($13 per month or $99 per year), the hub features the upcoming Melbourne Grand Prix on March 8, resources to keep you “up to speed,” 2025 highlights, upcoming events, and more.
It’s a great first look at what Apple’s coverage will entail for the 2026 season and the five-year broadcast contract ahead. Here’s what you need to know.

The Formula 1 channel on Apple TV
How to access it and what’s free
The Formula 1 channel is live on Apple TV on both the mobile and TV apps. On your phone, under the Apple TV tab, there should be a new banner called Go Time: Formula 1 on Apple TV, or you can access it via the shortcut in the Search tab. On your TV, the new channel will appear in the sidebar.
If you’re already subscribed to Apple TV, you’ll have access to all 24 races, practice sessions, and more within the channel. If you aren’t subscribed, you can still watch practice sessions and some upcoming races — though Apple hasn’t announced which ones will be free.
Essentially, the channel is an informational hub where everything you need to know about the sport lives — from the 2026 schedule to past race highlights and other general resources. A section called ‘Event Schedule: Sky Sports’ lists all the upcoming practice sessions and races for the 2026 season.
What if I have an F1 TV subscription already?
You’ll save some cash
If you’re already an F1 fan who’s been paying for a Premium F1 TV subscription ($129 value per year), I have good news: you can link your paid Apple TV subscription to your F1.TV account and save that money instead of paying for both.
