McDonald’s Made Headlines In 2023 After A Fatal E. Coli Outbreak
As The Shade Room previously reported, in October 2023, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a food safety alert. Furthermore, the alert asserted that officials in multiple states were investigating an E. coli outbreak. Initially, it was believed that the outbreak was sparked by contaminated onions used in Mickey-D’s quarter-pounder burgers.
Ultimately, the outbreak spanned at least ten states, left one person deceased, and led to the company’s USA president, Joe Erlinger, issuing a statement.
