American tennis player Sloane Stephens and her soccer star husband Jozy Altidore are getting a divorce.
According to Page Six, the 2017 US Open champion and former USMNT striker have filed for divorce in Florida. It is reportedly an ‘amicable split’.
The couple, who got engaged in 2019, married three years later in January 2022 in a lavish ceremony at the ritzy St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach.
Stephens, 32, and Altidore, 36, are childhood sweethearts after first meeting while in middle school in Boca Prep, Florida.
The tennis ace only recently returned to the highest level of the sport after qualifying for the Australian Open.
It was the first Grand Slam for Stephens since losing in the same tournament to Aryna Sabalenka in 2025.

She made it through three rounds of qualifying as she continues her comeback from a left foot injury but was eliminated in the first round by Karolina Pliskova.
The 32-year-old reached a career-high ranking of No. 3 but is currently at 775 in the world singles rankings.
Stephens will continue her comeback later this month when she takes to the court at the WTA 500 tournament in Merida, Mexico.
In July 2025, Stephens was rewarded for over a decade of commendable work through her foundation at the ESPYs, where she received the prestigious Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award.
Altidore had 62 goals in 139 regular-season MLS matches with Toronto from 2015-21.
He also played for the New York Red Bulls, Villarreal, Xerez, Hull, Bursaspor, AZ Alkmaar and Sunderland in his career.
Altidore scored 42 goals in 115 appearances for the U.S. from 2007 to 2019, last appearing in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. He is a two-time U.S. Soccer Federation player of the year.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Altidore joined NBA star Russell Westbrook as part of the OKC for Soccer ownership group.

The ownership group has purchased the rights to a USL Championship team that previously was the OKC Energy.
The group plans to have a team ready for a new stadium slated to open in downtown Oklahoma City in 2028.
‘It’s rare to see a club and its pathway so deeply rooted in the community from day one,’ Altidore said in a statement.
‘It aligns perfectly with an ambition to create a world-class environment for soccer in OKC at all levels of the game.’
Altidore joins a group that includes primary owners Echo Investment Capital, Altidore’s business partner, Alex Lee and the Chickasaw Nation.
