Amanda Batula & West Wilson Bombshell Shakes Reality Series; Bravo Not Planning On Picking Up Cameras For Now

The Bravoverse is still physically shaking from the news that The Real Housewives of Miami was going on pause, and now a scandal involving Summer House is rattling the fanbase.

Following weeks of speculation, co-stars Amanda Batula and Westling Wilson confirmed they are in a relationship, and many are wondering if Bravo cameras will pick up again to get cast reactions.

The news has left viewers wanting to get the tea on all the drama surrounding the show. When events of this magnitude have happened in the past, Bravo has picked up cameras to film reactions. It happened last season when Paige DeSorbo broke up with Craig Conover, and the year before when Carl Radke broke up with Lindsay Hubbard in front of cameras, calling off their engagement on the spot.

This time around, Bravo doesn’t seem to be planning to pick up cameras as of yet, according to sources. However, the Season 10 reunion is set to film in mid-April, which will be a good opportunity for the cast to address recent developments.

In a joint statement, which you can read in full below, the new Bravo couple said, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach.”

The couple also said, “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

The reason this pairing is causing a lot of commotion on social media is that they both denied the rumors over the past couple of weeks. Batula, who has been featured on the reality series since its 2017 premiere, has always been linked to Kyle Cooke.

Cooke and Batula have shared their journey with Bravo audiences for 10 seasons, from breakups and makeups to engagements and weddings. The most recent season of the series tackles the married couple struggling to communicate, and their marital woes culminated in a separation, which they announced earlier this year.

Further complicating the dynamics is Wilson’s prior romance with co-star Ciara Miller, Batula’s close friend. In the current season, Wilson and Miller seem to be flirtatious with each other after last summer, they drifted apart. Miller was ready for a committed relationship, while Wilson was not and was unclear about his intentions, hurting Miller along the way.

Episode 9 of Summer House Season 10 features Cooke and Batula feuding, with Wilson intervening after Cooke says some harsh words about Batula. The rumors about Batula and Wilson were only strengthened by the reaction Wilson had when trying to help Batula at the moment she was living with her then-husband.

Bravo has been in similar territory before with “Scandoval” on Vanderpump Rules. Although the show was renewed for another season with the same cast, the clear division amongst them proved that it was not a good situation for an ensemble show. The network ended up rebooting the franchise with a whole new cast.

Summer House is getting its own spinoff later this year, with Batula, Cooke, and Lindsay Hubbard being featured on In the City. Bravo has not set a premiere date for the series just yet, but it’s expected to run after the Season 10 finale of the Hamptons-set show. The series was filmed in the fall of 2025, but it was expected to continue to show Batula and Cooke as they navigated through their marital woes. With this new development, viewers could tune in to play detective and see if they could catch any clues about where things were headed as they did while watching Vanderpump Rules after the scandal exploded.
