An Algerian migrant who was caught stealing luxury Canada Goose beanies from Selfridges has been fined £150.
Dade Mustafa, 35, swiped two hats worth £350 from the high-end department store on Oxford Street on October 10 2025, while he was already on bail for immigration offences.
Mustafa, from Wood Green, North London, was handed the £150 fine for the offence on Friday January 13 at Southwark Crown Court.
CCTV footage captured the shameless thief peering around before boldly snatching the pricey accessories.
Mustafa then calmly walked away with the hats in hand before he was tackled by security.
The migrant was said to have threatened security guard Farzan Molaei, repeatedly telling him to ‘f*** off’.
Later footage captures him being arrested by police.
When told by an officer he had stolen two items worth £350, as shown in footage exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail, Mustafa replied: ‘No problem, no problem’.

The bold thievery happened in front of hundreds of shoppers at one of the busiest shops in the UK, prosecutor Alex Alawode said.
Mustafa confirmed his details at Southwark Crown Court in December 2025 while sporting a grey Canada Goose jacket, which can cost more than £1000 new.
He was aided by an Arabic interpreter.
The thief, who has a list of previous convictions, admitted one count of theft from a shop
He denied using threatening or abusive words and the charge was ordered to lie on file.

Mustafa was already on bail for immigration offences at the time of the theft, but the Home Office have refused to say what these offences were

Charlotte Arundale, defending Mustafa, said: ‘The defendant entered the UK from Algeria. He is currently on immigration bail.
‘He has used an alias name. He has shown me some immigration documentation which gives us the name as Dade Mustafa.
‘His date of birth was also different on his documents.’
The Home Office refused to say what immigration offences Mustafa was on bail for, falling on its policy of ‘not commenting on individual cases’.
