McLaren Racing has commenced a strategic partnership with Groq, a company specializing in artificial intelligence hardware. The collaboration will integrate Groq’s proprietary processing unit, which is engineered for rapid AI inference tasks, into the Formula 1 team’s operations.
Through this initiative, McLaren Racing strives to enhance its team’s analytical capabilities, support development processes, and provide real-time insights, with the overarching goal of improving on-track performance through faster and more cost-effective computational power. As part of the agreement, the Groq branding will be displayed on the team’s vehicles.
Nick Martin, Co-Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Racing, shared: “Formula 1 is about performance under pressure, so we’re excited to begin working with Groq to help deliver inference at the speed we need to support us in our efforts to stay at the front of the grid.”
