Sylva Hazel is an aged, non-alcoholic spirit that explores the beauty of wood aging. “We’re taking a never-before approach to create never-before liquids using a new frontier in flavour: trees,” said founder Ben Branson—known for revolutionizing the non-alcoholic beverage space, first with Seedlip.

The process of creating Hazel involves foraging and distilling young hazel catkins and fresh hazel leaves, as well as splitting, roasting, and charring wood.

Sylva introduced its debut product, Padauk, in 2022. Like the last release, Hazel is also made from wood but this time, hazel, silver birch and oak lend their unique flavors. Taste-wise, Hazel boasts notes of fresh-cut green wood, soft stone fruit, and dry citrus for a bright, floral, woody essence with plenty of depth and complexity for sipping and savoring on its own.
