Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic has quietly filed an injunction demanding to see his two young daughters after his ex-fiancée suddenly relocated to Europe with their children, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The NBA star, 27, confirmed his breakup from long-term partner, Anamaria Goltes, 28, last week after she filed a petition for child support and attorney fees from him.
The model and fitness influencer returned to Slovenia, the couple’s home country, last May with their daughter Gabriela and while pregnant with second girl Olivia – and has remained there ever since.
Doncic later took time away from the court to travel to Slovenia for his daughter’s birth in December – before returning to Los Angeles to complete his first season with the Lakers.
But the Daily Mail can reveal their brief reunion late last year sparked a family rift that is now on track to becoming a bitter transatlantic custody battle.
During his visit to Slovenia, Doncic reportedly begged Goltes to allow Gabriela to return to California with him.

But sources say the conversation turned ugly and police were called to Kranj Maternity Hospital, north of the couple’s multi-million Slovenian retreat, on December 6 – two days after Olivia was born – following a dispute.
Officers later said they ‘did not detect any elements of a criminal offense or misdemeanor’ from the star, adding that Doncic had left ‘peacefully’.
Doncic was said to have been blindsided by Goltes filing a petition seeking child support, which comes six months on from him signing a massive $165 million contract extension with the Lakers, according to recent reports.
It came after he denied talk that he was seeing Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline, 28.
When approached in Slovenia by the Daily Mail, Goltes refused comment. Doncic’s rep did not reply to an email requesting comment.
Publicly announcing the split, and acknowledging his legal woes, Doncic said last week: ‘I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the US during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement.’
Since then, it has been revealed by Slovenian newspapers that Doncic has only seen his daughters for two days since he began a training camp with the Lakers last year.
Desperate to see his children again, on February 26, Doncic filed an interim injunction demanding that Goltes give him access.

Sources told one paper the injunction demanded he have immediate contact with his two daughters.
When asked by a Slovenian reporter on Tuesday how he was feeling, he responded: ‘That’s life, I don’t know what to say.
’But that’s my job so I have to be here. They pay me a lot to play for them so… and also basketball gives me some kind of peace when I play a game.’
Goltes is yet to publicly comment on the split but made a cryptic social media post in January where she opened up about ‘a decade of hard lessons’, failing to mention or show any photographs of Doncic.
Goltes is currently living in the small village of Smlednik, around 12 miles north of Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
The well-to-do area, that offers complete privacy, is surrounded by sprawling green fields and snowcapped mountains that tower in the distance.

Doncic and Goltes bought a $2 million home in a small enclave of the village reserved for the area’s wealthiest residents.
Sat behind the luxury Cubo Golf Club, where a yearly membership costs almost $5,000, 10 secluded villas lie behind a barrier blocking the general public from accessing the home via car.
While the homes are relatively modest, the driveways are full of a range of expensive cars, from Teslas to Porches and Land Rovers.
Real estate agents selling another property in the enclave recently described the estate as a ‘symphony of luxury, architecture and privacy’.
Goltes and Doncic’s home is hidden furthest from the golf course, with huge walls blocking any view of the home on the quiet estate.
Much of the property’s land is taken up by a tennis court and a basketball court.

The villa, which sits in front of a huge wooded area, was first built in 2017 and bought by Doncic’s mother, Mirjam Poterbin, in 2019.
Goltes and Doncic bought the home from her in 2022, using it as a base and a quiet retreat when they returned from Slovenia after the season finished.
The tiny village has a population of just 500 people and is known for its access to beautiful hiking trails.
The couple’s split was thrown into the spotlight last week when Goltes filed a petition in a California court seeking significant child support payments and coverage for her attorney fees.
Court documents revealed that Goltes moved back to Slovenia with the couple’s elder daughter in May 2025 and has remained there ever since.
The filing does not currently seek a formal custody order, only financial support, though Doncic is said to be fighting to have his daughters with him in the US.
Doncic and Goltes first met when they were only 12 years old while both on holiday on the Croatian island of Krk.
They became romantically linked in 2016, surviving a long-distance relationship for many years while Doncic began his career at Real Madrid’s basketball academy.
When he was signed to the Dallas Mavericks, Goltes decided to move with him as well, soon adopting three dogs.
They then welcomed their first daughter, who was born in the United States and is therefore a US Citizen, in November 2023.
As their younger daughter was born in Slovenia, she does not have US citizenship.
