NFL legend Tom Brady has claimed he is prepared to show his younger rivals ‘who the boss is.’
The former quarterback, 48, is set to come out of retirement to take to the field in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which will take place in Los Angeles on March 21.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner will captain Founders FFC, serving as quarterback alongside Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts. The duo and their team will face off against Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels’ Wildcats FFC.
Ahead of the sporting spectacular, Brady revealed that he had fired off a feisty message to his rivals, ratcheting up the tension before the showdown.
‘I’ve been in the booth watching these young guys play,’ Brady said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, referring to his $375 million analyst job with Fox. ‘Now I get to go out there and try to kick their butt once again and remind them who the boss is!
‘I texted Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels. They’re the opposing quarterbacks. I said, “You know, I love beating Heisman Trophy winners.”

Brady’s competitive warning to Burrow comes after the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was spotted with Alix Earle after the Oscars – just weeks after Brady was also seen cozying up to the social media sensation.
Burrow was spotted leaving an Oscars afterparty with Earle, Tate McRae and Stassie Karanikolaou on Sunday night.
The signal caller, who earns an average salary of $55 million per year, may have struggled to make it to the Super Bowl in recent seasons, but he is on a generational run when it comes to his love life.
After a high-profile reported romance with model Olivia Ponton came to an end, he has been linked with a wealth of different women, and was last week spotted at a blackjack table in Las Vegas with Hollywood A-lister Jessica Alba.
While reports of that romance were quickly debunked, he is now being linked with another trio of beauties after ending his night at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in some style.
In a suave all-black suit, Burrow could be seen walking out of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and jumping into the front seat of a chauffeur-driven SUV following the Vanity Fair Oscars bash.
A few moments later, influencers Earle and Karanikolaou, as well as singer McRae, all hopped in the back before the group drove on to their next, undisclosed, location.

It came just over two months after Earle spent an extremely high-profile New Year’s Eve in St Barths with Brady, with the pair repeatedly popping up at the same events and parties in the weeks and months that followed.
Brady was later filmed dancing the night away with the podcaster at a party before last month’s Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California.
Earle recently came out of a relationship with an NFL player after calling it quits with wide receiver Braxton Berrios at the end of last year.
McRae has been heavily linked with US Olympics hockey star Jack Hughes in recent months, and it is believed the pair are still exclusively dating.
