Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is taking an unexpected break.

Filming for season five of the Hulu series has been paused after an alleged confrontation between cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen, a source with knowledge told E! News. 

A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed to People that there was an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding the parents of Ever, 23 months—telling the outlet there were “allegations have been made in both directions.” The spokesperson explained “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share more information due to the ongoing investigation. 

As the source shared with E! News, “Taylor owns her mistakes, all she wants to do is protect her son, Ever, from stories in the press or anything negative about his father and wants him to think well of his father.”

“All she cares about is protecting her child,” the source added, “and has been acting with this mind.”
